Quality Group International has opened its new retail outlet, Quality Mall, in the Al Hilal area of Doha.
A number of officials and dignitaries - Ebrahim Abdullah al-Malki, Sheikh Jassim bin Thamir al-Thani, Jabor al-Sulaithi, Khalil Ismail al-Meer and Shamsudheen Olakara - jointly inaugurated the mall in the presence of a large crowd.
The mall is designed across two floors with a total area of 125,000sqft. A wide variety of products from various brands are available in the hypermarket to cater to the tastes and preferences of customers from all walks of life, according to a statement.
The ground floor has various shops and kiosks, such as a pharmacy, an optician, counters for flowers and chocolates, coffee shops, ATMs of leading banks, automatic utility payment machines, foreign exchanges and beauty parlours for men, women and children in addition to a spacious supermarket for food and non-food items.
Shops for mobile phones, watches, fashion items, garments and readymade products, footwear, home furniture and décor, stationery and fashion jewellery are also part of the department store.
The first floor is exclusively designed for various electric, electronic, IT and technology products, as well as home appliances of leading global brands. Parking is available in the basement in addition to the surroundings of the mall.
Quality Group International is a leading business group in the Middle East and India. Quality Mall is the seventh retail project of Quality International, which has an outlet in Bengaluru, the garden city of India. The second project in Bengaluru will start this year itself.
The next retail outlet in Qatar will be at Rayyan in the last quarter of this year, Quality Group International chairman Olakara said in a statement. Another retail outlet will be ready at Al Khor by next year's second quarter.
The company is also planning to open two retail projects in Kerala, India, before the end of next year.
