Emirates’ ice entertainment system is debuting two famous YouTube channels, Cute Girls Hairstyles and Brooklyn & Bailey, this summer.
Known for their hairstyle tutorials, fashion and beauty vlogs, the two channels have more than 5mn subscribers and over half-a-billion views combined on YouTube.
Families gearing up for their summer break can look forward to seven episodes from Brooklyn & Bailey’s YouTube channel on the Emirates in-flight entertainment system – ice Digital Widescreen – on channel 1479. Cute Girls Hairstyles’ YouTube channel will debut on Emirates next month.
By August, there will be a total of six YouTube channels available on ice Digital Widescreen, including Dude Perfect and Crash Course.
It is the first time that Cute Girls Hairstyles and Brooklyn & Bailey’s YouTube channels appear on an airline entertainment system, according to a statement from Emirates.
“Today’s viewers are spoilt for choices and Emirates offers a diverse range of options on board with the inclusion of YouTube,” said Patrick Brannelly, Emirates’ divisional vice-president – customer experience.
“We’re excited to be working closely with Emirates to select some of the most popular YouTube channels to add to their in-flight entertainment system,” said Derek Callow, director, partner marketing, YouTube.
Emirates has also announced that from this month, young travellers will receive new headsets on which they can enjoy up to 75 channels of dedicated children’s entertainment from up to 2,000 channels overall.
Emirates offers a wide variety of family and children’s programming, including movies and television from a variety of channels.
The offering includes 30 CTV and Skysurfer channels such as CBeebies, Disney Junior, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, a BBC-produced adaptation of David Walliams’ Mr Stink & Gangsta Granny, popular classics Tom & Jerry, The Looney Tunes Show, Scooby Doo, Sesame Street and Power Rangers and over six hours of Barbie movies.
Besides, there are 556 movies on board in July.
