This week’s three-day Losail Karting Experience concluded on Wednesday evening with another three-day event scheduled for next week between June 30 and July 2 from 8pm to 11:30pm.
The event also saw the Losail Children Academy where the young kids had a go on quads and pocket bikes in a safe and friendly atmosphere. The karting track has been marked out within the Losail International Circuit (LIC) facility.
Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) president and LIC general manager Nasser Khalifa al-Attiyah said, “We are very happy with the start of karting at Losail. This is a great move for the QMMF to give the public the chance to enjoy here. We think that karting is the main foundation for motorsport; we can discover a new generation for the future. Through karting we will touch many different projects, including education matters, road and safety, and give a message to the society that we can educate young kids here. We have our goals set out and for sure one day we will have good collaborations with companies, government, schools and society at large to impart education in this field.”
