Ooredoo has launched Cloud Voice & Collaboration Suite, a next generation voice telephony and collaboration platform for businesses.
Using the service, Ooredoo customers will be able to deploy an “incredible” range of cutting-edge services, including immersive video conferencing, instant messaging, intelligent voicemail, and much more, an Ooredoo statement said.
The suite is based on Cisco’s Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) and will change the way businesses communicate in Qatar by allowing them to expand their communications services with unrivalled on-demand scalability.
The service was designed using the latest technology so that businesses can get the most value from the company’s bigger, faster and better network.
Ooredoo chief operating officer (Qatar) Waleed Mohamed al-Sayed said, “Ooredoo is the preferred communication partner for companies in Qatar because we offer the best network and because we continue to introduce new services that anticipate our business customers’ needs.

paper on proposed amendments to arbitration regulations
The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority has issued a public consultation paper proposing refinements to the QFC Arbitration Regulations.
The changes were made following the review of the new draft Qatari Arbitration Law on civil and commercial matters and other regulations in leading legal jurisdictions, and are aimed at promoting the use of arbitration as a form of alternative dispute resolution in the QFC.
The paper sheds light on the enhanced proposals to the QFC Arbitration Regulations and aims at consulting with the wider business community.
The QFC Authority is committed to continually reviewing its legislative framework in order to allow new and existing QFC firms to benefit from a strong, transparent legal and regulatory environment, it said.
The proposed amendments are described in detail in the respective consultation paper and its appendix and are available on the QFC Legislation website for feedback purposes:
