Ooredoo has announced two upgrades for customers looking to top up their mobile data, with data recharges now available on the company’s website and the Ooredoo mobile app.
The move comes as demand for mobile data continues to rise in Qatar as more people use smartphones and mobile devices to access the Internet wherever they are in the country.
Currently, customers can top up data on their Hala and Shahry packs with scratch cards and e-vouchers from Ooredoo shops or authorised dealers. With the launch of the new methods, customers can recharge their data any time and from any place, without having to visit a shop.
Hala and Shahry customers can now also purchase direct data top-ups on the Ooredoo website by paying with a credit card and via the Ooredoo app, which offers users the choice of paying by credit card or via the Shahry bill or Hala balance.
Ooredoo has introduced these new ways to top up due to customer demand as more users than ever before are actively using and topping up their data allowance, according to a statement.
To support this need for data on the company’s network, Ooredoo has expanded the wide range of options to top up data and boosted data allowance with the new Hala and Shahry Smart packs.
Data top-ups in any form come in the denominations of 250MB of data for QR20, 1GB for QR60, 3GB for QR80, 6GB for QR100 and 15GB for QR200. Data is valid for 30 days once activated and customers can use more than one data top-up during this period.
