The Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA) has partnered with Executive Training Solutions, with sponsorship from AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation, to conduct an etiquette course for girls aged between nine and 13 years in Doha.
The three-day course, Etiquette Princess, is the “first of its kind” in Qatar and takes place until tomorrow, according to a statement.
Executive Training Solutions is a Canadian company that specialises in training and consulting on business etiquette, protocol, soft diplomacy, leadership, executive presence and international sport events protocol.
Introducing behavioural and communication skills to Qatari girls in this age group will help shape them into successful leaders, the statement notes, stressing that it will help build their character, leadership skills and show them how to deal with other cultures, while taking into consideration the Arab culture and the Gulf’s regional values.
The course will enable the young girls to present themselves with confidence, know how to act, show respect to others and build healthy relationships with others from different backgrounds. The girls will learn how to represent their country’s image in an eloquent manner. The training also supports Qatar National Vision 2030, specifically the Social Development pillar, the statement adds.
Aisha Hussain Alfardan, vice-chairwoman of QBWA, said: “This partnership arises from the association’s interest to provide training opportunities in different fields. The training will help girls aged nine to 13 years gain principles and skills and develop their personality to become future leaders.”
Rima Arab, founder and CEO of Executive Training Solutions, said: “We believe conducting such training is very important in order to help build and shape Qatar’s youth. We are pleased to conduct this training in partnership with the Qatari Businesswomen Association and the support of our sponsor, AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation.
“Etiquette becomes as important as learning foreign languages to facilitate communication with other cultures. Social skills play a major role in our professional success.
“Seats were completely booked within 48 hours of the course being advertised. This proves the awareness of the Qatari community regarding the necessity of conducting such courses.”
