IBQ announces winner of loyalty programme

International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) has announced the 20th winner of its monthly prize draw for the IBQ loyalty
programme, thanq.
Manuel Ortega, a captain with Qatar Airways, was this month’s winner of 100,000 thanq reward points. He has been with the thanq programme for the past two years.
Andrew Ball, AGM and head of retail banking at IBQ, awarded the prize to Ortega in a ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters in Doha.
Ortega, a first time winner, and his friend plan to visit the 15th Century Inca ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru for their summer holiday this year. He said the trip would be a first since he usually flies routes to Asia.
“It is great to see Ortega win our monthly thanq prize draw as it will mean he and his friend can visit a part of the world they have never seen. Our award-winning rewards scheme, thanq, shows customers how much we value their loyalty to our brand, services, and products. It also gives them the chance to enjoy amazing travel offers to explore the world and go to places they have never been,” Ball said.
The thanq programme gives customers the chance to gather points across a wide range of IBQ products and services, and then redeem them by booking flights on more than 800 airlines and accommodations in 160,000 hotels worldwide to their destination of choice.
