Jaidah Automotive, the exclusive dealer of Chevrolet vehicles in Qatar, along with AbuIssa Racing, held a special Silverado-themed desert camp event at Sealine’s QIT camp last weekend.
Jaidah Automotive invited Chevrolet Silverado owners and some desert enthusiasts to attend the full-day event. Visitors got to experience an off-road drive with well-known Qatari quad rider Mohamed AbuIssa in a specially branded 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Light Duty. The dune rides with AbuIssa demonstrated the control and safety features of the vehicle.
The Silverado’s coil-over-shock front suspension made the drive smoother in the sand-dune terrain. The Trailer Sway Control feature in the Silverado makes the weight efficiently distributed around all corners of the truck, creating a stable drive that was experienced by visitors first-hand.
The truck also comes with StabiliTrak, a supportive feature that links the steering direction with the vehicle’s expected reaction, then makes necessary speed changes and torque adjustments to enhance and maintain control. The four-wheel disc brakes with Duralife rotors improve brake feel and can potentially double rotor life.
Jaidah Automotive provided a free shuttle service throughout the event that ran between the car park at Sealine roundabout and the QIT camp, with designated drivers for those who did not have off-road supported cars. The shuttle service cars were six branded Chevrolet Tahoes and two Silverados.

On the occasion, Jaidah Automotive launched a Truck Month campaign, which runs until April 21, presenting a special offer for all customers in the market. Everyone who buys a Silverado during this period will get a QR3,500 voucher, a MiFi device with active 7GB Internet for 12 months and a chance to win one of two motorbikes in a raffle.
The raffle also includes two all-expenses-paid tickets for the Manchester United versus Arsenal game, to be held on May 16 in the UK. The raffle is open to all customers who buy any model of the new Silverado 2015 in Qatar, only from Jaidah Automotive.
The attendees were treated to a dinner in the desert camp and enjoyed giveaways to start their next desert camping adventure.
