Contractors have started work on new branches of Al Meera Consumer Goods Company at Umm Salal Ali, Al Wakrah (2), North Sailiya (Al Meerad) and Bu Sidra, the company has announced.
“Announcing the construction of new branches is part of our commitment to a strategic expansion plan to establish new complexes in different areas, besides the already available ones. It is also part of Qatar National Vision 2030 to develop different areas of the country. It is an implementation of the company’s motto to be more accessible and more distinguished,” said Dr Mohamed Nasser al-Qahtani, deputy CEO of Al Meera.
The new branches will include eateries and various services besides retail outlets.
Ahmed al-Sheeb, member of the Central Municipal Council for Umm Salal constituency, appreciated the expansion plans of Al Meera. He stressed the importance of the new branch in Umm Salal in view of the growing population there.
“The new branch will make the lives of residents easier and it is an outcome of constant communication between the representative of the inhabitants and the company,” he said.
In 2014, Al Meera built new shopping centres at Murraikh, Al Aziziya, Jeryan Nejaima, Al Zakhirah, Al Wakrah, Al Thumama, Al Wajbah and Rawdat Aqdim. In addition, a branch at the Gulf Mall complex will be opened soon.
Currently, Al Meera has 14 branches under construction.
