Oleg Engachev overcame Wednesday’s disappointment of finishing second in the 10M air pistol to win the 25m standard pistol at the Emir Cup Shooting and Archery Championship.
Yesterday at the Losail Shooting Range, the Korean Asian Games gold medal winner, piped Ali Morshed Hassan to the second place to win his pet event while Maltsev Konstantin finished third in a field of 13 shooters.
For Engachev, 25m Standard Pistol win turned out to be his third gold medal in the championship and a repeat of last year’s performance, wherein he had won a similar number of medals.
On Wednesday, Konstantin topped in the 10M Air Pistol while Engachev had to settle for the silver medal and Zaid Ahmad al-Shammari clinched the bronze medal.
