Albanian President Bujar Nishani and his accompanying delegation yesterday paid a visit to Qatar Foundation, where they were given a presentation outlining QF’s history, vision and objectives.
The Albanian president was briefed on Qatar Foundation’s various projects, social programmes and scientific research programmes.
They were shown a documentary film on QF, its initiatives and future plans in the area of sustainability and environmental conservation, and its green buildings. Nishani expressed his admiration for the QF’s projects and programmes, hoping it has admitted a large number of Albanian students as it houses a number of world’s prestigious educational institutions.
He looked forward to the teaching of history and culture of ancient Albanian culture and Pacific culture in this great scientific edifice, wishing that the QF’s idea be transferred to all continents.
For his part, QF president Saad Ebrahim al-Muhannadi said QF’s mission was aimed at launching human potential in general and youth in particular, supporting the State’s growth and achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Al-Muhannadi noted that the Foundation, including Qatar National Library, contains thousands of books and manuscripts that highlight all cultures and civilizations in addition to Translational Research Institute.
At the end of their visit, President Bujar signed the guestbook and was handed a commemorative souvenir by the QF president.
The Qatari Ambassador to Albania Youssuf  bin Hassan al-Sae accompanied Nishani and delegation accompanying during their visit to QF along with Albanian Ambassador to Qatar Edmond Chasha and QF president al-Muhannadi.
