“Kuwait has witnessed an exponential growth of data traffic in the LTE network. The overall data traffic since 2013 grew by seven folds, or 600%.  We are positive that this partnership with the reputable Ericsson will further boost our capacity and provide a differentiated user experience to our customers in Kuwait,” al-Thani said. Rafiah Ibrahim, president Ericsson Region Middle East and East Africa, said, “Mobile broadband is now an integral part of our everyday lifestyle where constant connectivity is expected anytime, anywhere. By introducing our integrated LTE advanced small cells into the LTE network, we are able to provide Ooredoo in Kuwait with more reliable and higher capacity network that will continue to support their customers’ connected lifestyles.”
By integrating Small Cell solution as part of the macro mobile network, Ooredoo Kuwait can cost-effectively provide increased network capacity and improved coverage.
