Graduates of the first “Ahlibank Kawader” programme during the awards ceremony held at the Qatar Finance and Business Academy. Ahlibank has honoured the first 10 graduates of the “Ahlibank Kawader” programme during an awards ceremony held at the Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA). Developed by Ahlibank, the programme aims to recruit, develop, and build in-depth expertise in banking and finance among Qatari nationals, and is part of the bank’s plan to increase Qatarisation in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. Ahlibank head of Human Resources Saad al-Kaabi said, “We are strongly committed to the development of Qatari talent via the ‘Ahlibank Kawader’ programme. We have specifically-designed the programme to help equip students with skills required by the financial services sector. It also provides participants with excellent professional development tools and internationally-recognised professional certifications, which will enable them to be successful in the financial services industry.” Al-Kaabi said the programme has the following objectives: inspire the most talented young Qataris to choose a career in the financial sector; motivate and empower talented Qatari students, providing them with a world-class training for careers in the financial sector; and encourage collaboration between the banking and finance industry and academia. “This is our first programme and we are already planning enhancements to the next programme, which will commence in September 2015,” he added.
