Ooredoo has launched a new competition that invites all women in Qatar to submit a story about an inspirational woman who made a difference in their lives.
The contest, a part of the company’s annual celebration of women’s achievements, is under the theme “Sheroes” - female heroes.
Ooredoo is asking women to submit their story via a dedicated e-mail address – [email protected] – and the top three inspirational female stories will receive a range of prizes and will be the subject of a special event on March 9.
Entries must be no more than 200 words and should be about a particular woman and the role they have played in people’s lives. All entries must be submitted by March 7.
Ooredoo’s annual event to celebrate the role of women in the development of society, work and life in Qatar and around the world, is part of its activity surrounding International Women’s Day on March 8.
Ooredoo dedicates a full month every year that aims to enhance women’s role in the company and promote the efforts of women in the wider community. This year, the events will include workshops and discussion panels for Ooredoo employees on different topics of interest for professional women.
Ooredoo has a long history of supporting women’s initiatives in Qatar, such as the ongoing strategic partnership to support the annual How Women Work Conference, as well as events throughout the year.
