The 12th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches exhibition attracted a large number of visitors on its first day.
The world’s premium and luxury jewellery and  watches brands acknowledged for their mastery of design  are present at the exhibition. These include Cartier, Chanel, Graff, Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Christian Dior, Faberge, David Morris, Panerai, Van Cleef & Arpels, Jaeger Lecoulture, Boucheron, Pasquale Bruni, Hublot, Parmigiani, Patek Philippe, ChronoSwiss, Korloff,  Ferre Milano, Chatila, Royal Diamond, Montegrappa, Al Zain Jewellery, Matis Jewellery, David Webb, and Versailles Jewellery among many others.
Many regional and international brands that have carved a following with their exquisite artistry unveiled their collections of novelty pieces.
Chanel showcased its iconic high jewellery creations, including the “1932” collection, which celebrates the 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux de Diamants’, the first and only High Jewellery collection created by Gabrielle Chanel, in 1932. Another highlight at the exhibition is the ‘Sous le Signe du Lion’ collection, with the magnificent ‘Constellation du Lion’ brooch. Some of Chanel’s watchmaking creations is also showcased.
Audemars Piguet displayed its latest novelties; Officine Panerai presented for the first time in the region a selection of timepieces from its 2015 collection; Rolex charmed visitors with many applauded designs including the Datejust Pearlmaster 34, the Sky-Dweller, the Sea-Dweller 4000, the newest version of the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II and the Cellini collection; Bremont exhibited the much anticipated Boeing collection and Breva showed off its latest scientific instrument watch.
Jewellery lovers also got a chance to catch a glimpse of the Rivage necklace by Maison Boucheron which holds a special place in the Maison’s heart, being the last piece of High Jewellery made by the longest serving of Boucheron’s master jewellers, after more than thirty-four years at the Maison.
