Al Sadd thrashed Qatar Sports Club 114-62 in the Qatar Men’s Basketball League at the Al Gharafa Indoor Hall last night.
Rashad Woods and Tyrone Anderson excelled with 30 and 23 points respectively, while Abdulrahman Saad chipped in with 21.
It was one of the biggest wins scored by a team this season as Al Sadd completely dominated their rivals.
They led 28-13 at the end of the first quarter and simply scooted away from there on, leading 52-22 and 84-39 before finishing in style.
Craig O’Brien top scored for Qatar Sports Club with 25 points, while Wallace Cox and Mile Ilic had 12 apiece.
Meanwhile, Al Shamal stunned Al Arabi 76-75. Leron Hunter (21), Kamal Hachad (19), Anthony White (18) were the main scorers for Al Shamal.
Al Arabi had led 23-13 at the end of the first quarter and continued to hold on to their advantage before Al Shamal hit back in the final 10 minutes during which they scored 15 points.
