Nasser Bin Khaled Holding, one of Qatar’s leading business conglomerates, will be the Official Car Transport sponsor of the 24th Qatar International Equestrian Festival which will take place at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club from February 19 to 26. The event is being held under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
NBK will have 60 Mercedes Benz S-Class vehicles lined up for the star studded event to add comfort and class to the transportation solutions for the entire event and its high profile guests in addition to granting 10 Mitsubishi cars to QREC, some of which can be won by spectators.The sponsorship announcement was marked with a signing ceremony which took place at the QREC with the presence of NBK chairman and CEO Sheikh Nawaf Nasser bin Khaled al-Thani and QREC chairman HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Faleh al-Thani. Also present on the occasion were QREC general manager Sami Jassim al-Boenain and NBK Holding Deputy Group CEO Hussein al-Siddiqie.
On the occasion, Sheikh Nawaf said. “Our partnership with REC has spanned more than a decade through which we have seen the Club saving no effort to promote the sports heritage of our country. Equestrian sports are deeply rooted in the fabrics of our culture and we are therefore extremely proud to be associated with such an event. We are confident that this year’s edition will prove to be just as memorable and fantastic.
“This sponsorship is in line with NBK’s effort to be a vanguard of sports in Qatar having strongly invested to promote national sports events.”
REC chairman Sheikh Mohamed also added. “REC has played a significant role in promoting a first class professional equestrian culture in Qatar and has staged unparalleled events which saw the attendance of scores of highly recognised equestrian personalities from across the globe.
“There is no doubt that our partnership with one of the largest business organisation in the country such as NBK, will be key to maintaining the success of this esteemed event particularly when NBK has been considered the Club’s sports partner for years.”
The racing carnival is yet again ready to enthrall Qatari and international audiences with the live telecast of the event reaching millions of homes throughout the world.
Over the years, the QIEF has grown to be one of the most exciting events in the Middle East region. It promises to be yet another event that will showcase the capabilities of QREC on the world stage.
