Galfar Al Misnad Group organised a ‘Go Green’ Run on Doha Corniche in connection with the National Sport Day on Tuesday.
More than 500 people, comprising company officials, staff and workers participated in the over 3km run. Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Secretary General Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani commended the organisers and stressed importance of a healthy living.
Ministry of Environment’s assistant undersecretary Mohamed Saif al-Kuwari highlighted the need of imparting continuous awareness and knowledge regarding the ‘Go Green’ concept.
Ministry of Environment official D Kumar also offered all possible assistance and commitment to responsible organisations for the cause.
Galfar Al Misnad Group general manager Hema Chandran stated it is the responsibility of every individual to care for the flora and fauna of his or her surrounding nature.
