Qatar residents can now play table tennis in five public parks and even on Doha Corniche.
They only need to carry paddles and balls with them. The initiative has come as the contribution of the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning in connection with the National Sport Day, which is being observed today.
The tables for the sport have been installed in co-ordination with the Qatar Table Tennis Association and the Parks Section of Doha Municipality.
The tennis tables are located in the following parks: Onaizah, Sheraton, Dahl Al-Hamam, park number 65 and park number 66 in addition to Doha Corniche.
The gesture is intended to popularise table tennis and to encourage visitors at public parks and sites to practice sport.
