A firefighter of the Civil Defence department died while fighting a major fire at a warehouse in the Industrial Area on Saturday, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.
A person close to the victim’s family informed the daily that the deceased, identified as Tariq el-Gobashi, was a 36-year-old Moroccan national. He died of smoke inhalation, the daily added.
