The Color Run, “the original 5km colour powder race”, saw a huge turnout on its Doha debut at the Qatar National Convention Centre yesterday. With the help of Sahtak Awalan: Your Health First, a health campaign by Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q), the event saw participants of all ages and abilities taking part in the run. Following a warmup from Reebok’s internationally famed ‘Les Mills’ Master Trainers, Color Runners dressed in white were led across the starting line by a colour-splattered Nissan X-Trail before running, walking and dancing their way around. More than 180 volunteers were on hand to shower participants in vibrant coloured powder at 1km intervals around the course.
