Director General of The Cultural Village Foundation, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, met in Doha yesterday with the Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, Gao Youzhen.
Talks during the meeting dealt with cultural relations and means of enhancing the cultural co-operation between the two sides.
Dr al-Sulaiti expressed the foundation’s keenness to co-operate with the Chinese embassy and explore new prospects of excellence and innovation in various creativity, cultural, literary, artistic and musical areas.
For his part, the ambassador expressed his admiration for the Cultural Village through the diverse cultural and artistic events its hosts, describing Katara as a great civilised platform and a meeting place for the cultures of the world which hosts all Qatari and international creators and intellectuals.
He also praised the strong bilateral relations between Qatar and
China.
