Karwa Driving School will be the health, safety and environment (HSE) training provider for the emergency response vehicle driver and defensive driving training of Qatar Petroleum (QP) for the next three years.
Mowasalat CEO Khalid Nasser al Hail said: “QP awarded the contract to the driving school upon compliance with the strict requirements and high standard set by QP in providing such a specialised driver training to company drivers and staff.
He added: “We understand the very high standard set by QP which is in line with our training based on international accreditation strategies and objectives. Having won the contract manifests the Karwa’s and QP’s commitment to the road safety.”
Karwa Driving School is the first ISO 9001-2008 certified driving school in the country and accredited by well-known driver training institutes.
In 2012, it received the Defensive Driving Course Trend Setter Award given by National Safety Council (NSC) of the United States. For this year, Karwa received the authority accorded by the International Road Transport Union (IRU) as accredited training institute to deliver driving courses for trucks and buses having met the requirements imposed by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) consolidated
resolution on road traffic.
