The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has announced the withdrawal from the local market of a type of candy made in Europe, because the labels featured the descriptions “Rum flavour” and Liquorice flavour.”
Though the samples tested in laboratory showed that the product is compliant with the applicable food standards in Qatar and are good for human consumption, the SCH decided to withdraw them on account of the misunderstanding caused by the labels.
