Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) chairperson HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser visited the National Day festivities of QF at the Darb al-Saai celebration grounds on Thursday evening.
She was taken on a tour of the educational activities being showcased at QF’s celebration tent by affiliated centres and members that are promoting a culture of excellence and innovation designed to engage the community.
During the visit, HH Sheikha Moza interacted with children at a storytelling session on Qatari culture and heritage, as well as met youngsters within the sustainability section of QF’s tent.
The activities help meet QF’s objectives of instilling knowledge and learning from an early age and creating a foundation for the young generation to develop educational excellence and personal development towards great careers.
HH Sheikha Moza was accompanied by HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani, chairperson of the Qatar Museums and member of QF board of trustees, and HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, the Minister of Youth and Sports and head of National Day Celebrations Committee.
