The Nonresident Nepalese Association—International Coordination Committee (NRNA-ICC) President Shesh Ghale is arriving Doha on Thursday (tomorrow) to attend the 12th anniversary programme of the Nonresident Nepalese Association National Co-ordination Council Qatar.

During a press conference at the Golden Fork Restaurant yesterday, NRN-Qatar President Maksud Alam said that the programme will be held at the Coral Hotel from 9am to 6pm. Ghale is business entrepreneur and founding CEO of Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. He was ranked 166th wealthiest person in Australia in the 2014 BRW Rich 200.

Alam added that NRNA-ICC founding president Dr Upendra Mahato, NRNA-ICC general secretary Kumar Pantal, NRNA-USA vice president Loknath Tiwari, and NRNA-Oman president DB Chhetri will also attend the programme along with delegates from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE chapters of NRNA-NCC.

Dr Mahato is a  business entrepreneur in Russia where he holds the position of the president of the Russia—Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also the honorary consular general of Nepal for the Republic of Belarus.

The programme will be the first global program of NRNA held in Qatar. NRNA was established in 2002 and now has chapters in 70 countries. Qatar is the second country where NRNA opened its chapter after Russia. As of now, 1,650 nonresident Nepalis in Qatar are members of NRNA.

Talking to press, entrepreneur RK Sharma said that promoting tourism and facilitating the investments of nonresident Nepalese in Nepal would be the main agenda at the programme. Alam added that discussions on building an NRN office in Nepal will also be held at the closing section of NRN Cup 2014 on Friday.

Representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Qatar Football Association, Al Arabi Sports Club and Hamad Medical Corporation will attend the NRNA programme, said Alam.
