Commercial Bank yesterday announced a number of management changes including the appointment of Colin Macdonald as deputy chief executive officer.

Fahad Badar, currently EGM, head (Wholesale) becomes EGM, chief international officer and head of Private Banking.

Raju Buddhiraju will join the bank in January 2015 as EGM, head (Wholesale). 

Dean Proctor, currently head (Retail) becomes EGM, head (Retail and Enterprise).

Commercial Bank chairman Sheikh Adbullah bin Ali bin Jabor al-Thani, said, “I would like to congratulate all the senior managers on their new roles, which strengthens the leadership and puts the bank on a firm footing for growth and continued profitability.”

Vice-chairman and managing director Hussain Alfardan said, “The changes made today under the leadership of Abdulla al-Raisi, chief executive officer, creates a strong team to deliver our ambition for Commercial Bank both domestically and internationally.  ”

Al-Raisi said, “These announcements made today create an executive team with considerable and in-depth banking experience who, together with the other executive team members, will support me in the delivery of our ambitious plans for profitable growth.
