An official of Vacheron Constantin said the company is planning to hold a special celebration of its 260th anniversary in Qatar with the launching of more timepieces in the Qatari market.
Vacheron Constantin CEO Juan-Carlos Torres said the company will be launching specific products for its anniversary in Geneva and added that it plans to have a similar launching in Qatar.
“Next year, we will come here to celebrate Vacheron Constantin’s 260th anniversary and we have specific products for the event, and we would be happy if we could organise a similar event specifically for Qatar,” Torres told Gulf Times.
Torres was in Qatar with international director Yann Bouillonnec to discuss possible new ventures and collaborations with Alfardan Jewellery.
Torres said Vacheron Constantin values the partnership the company has forged with Alfardan Jewellery.
“To us, it is an honour to be part of this relationship with the Alfardan family,” he told Alfardan Group chairman Hussain Ibrahim Alfardan,
“Business is not permanent, but friendship is long-lasting. We cannot take into consideration the future without considering the past.” Torres said, quoting Winston Churchill when asked of future expansion plans with the Alfardan Group.
Torres stressed that Vacheron Constantin’s partnership with the Alfardan Group was solid and had positive future: “The more you come back to the past, the more you will have a vision of the future.”
What we are sure is that Vacheron Constantin in the region is good. And if the future of Vacheron Constantin in the region is good, we have the Alfardan Group to thank for that,” Torres emphasised.
Torres added that the company is building more manufacturing facilities and strengthening its workforce to meet the demands of its customers, specifically in Qatar.
“Then we can have more pieces dedicated to Qatar…during the planned celebration in Qatar next year, I think the present for the country is to bring enough pieces to our customers and meet the demands of our clients,” Torres said.
