Relatively strong North-Westerly winds are expected to lash Qatar’s coast starting from noon today. The Met office said the winds could reach 25 knots at times in many places and the general visibility could fall across the country owing to blowing dust. Visibility would be comparatively low both in the desert areas and highways, it said. The winds could touch 30 knots at times later in the day and the seas around the country could go up further by 4 to 8 feet, especially in the offshore areas. The sea level will recede from Thursday onwards.
