Pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong announced Sunday they would withdraw from a secondary protest site and clear a blockaded road near the government's headquarters ahead of a deadline to clear the streets.
Occupy Central, one of the groups organising the protests, said access would be allowed to a road next to the offices of the city's leader, in Admiralty. Demonstrators in Mongkok, across the harbour, will join those at the main protest site in Admiralty around the government's offices, they said.
