The Pearl-Qatar has witnessed in the past couple of months a series of new store openings in the budding precincts of Porto Arabia and Medina Centrale.

Recent new openings in Medina Centrale include the Novo Imax cinema complex, premium supermarket brand Spinneys and casual restaurants Fat Burger and Nando’s.

On the Porto Arabia front, top fashion brands have opened in 6 and 18 La Croisette. These include Philipp Plein, Per Lei Couture, Delvaux, Rita Pateroni and the Elie Saab boutique, all trading exclusive women’s fashion and accessories.

Ermanno Scervino and Jacob Cohen, both located in 6 La Croisette, sell quality and international style for men and women, while children have received the lion’s share in the new retail openings in Porto Arabia with Quis Quis, Blue Salon Kids and Mimisol. Tickles & Giggles, a kids’ party and play destination, is set to become a “sought-after” place in Doha for children’s
enjoyment.

Commenting on the new businesses keeping retail activity at The Pearl-Qatar vibrant, Mohamed Yoosaf, acting general manager of Retail Leasing, said: “These are all new and uniquely interesting stores. This is part of our philosophy to continually reinvent and upgrade The
Pearl-Qatar.

“In addition to the string of store openings taking place in Porto Arabia and Medina Centrale, we are planning the upcoming launch of Gymito, a state-of-the-art sporting facility located in Qanat Quartier, spanning over an area of 2,000sqm, with more convenience stores and services extended to this charming
precinct.”

Also expected to open later this year in Medina Centrale are StrongBox Fitness, Little Princess, a spa for little girls, Big Bear Choppers motorcycle showroom and bikers’ café, TGI Friday’s, German Doner Kebab, Ziryab and Sammach restaurants; and in Porto Arabia - David Morris, Richard Mille, Nespresso, Al-Mandoos men’s apparel and clothing, in addition to innovative café-restaurant concepts LongHorn Steakhouse, Salon Suisse, The Cheese Market, Mikys Deli, Café Mimz, Dean & David Healthy Café, Mado Turkish restaurant and Si El Sayed Egyptian restaurant and Shakespeare & Co, both of which have recently opened their doors in Porto Arabia.
