Milipol Qatar 2014 will present solutions for country’s internal security requirements, Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani has said.

Brigadier al-Thani, president of Milipol Qatar 2014 Committee, also highlighted the fact that participants and exhibitors from local and international solutions pro viders are expected to highlight the latest technological advancements during the 10th staging of the biennial event.

The event will be held under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani from October 20-22 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.

“As the place to be for all internal state security requirements, Milipol Qatar and its long list of local and international exhibitors are expected to present solutions for Qatar’s internal state security requirements,” said Brigadier
al-Thani.

“Given the unique characteristics, availability of resources and dedicated focus on internal state security, the list of confirmed exhibitors and solution providers continue to increase, including those that are based in Qatar.

“With the most up-to-date products and services that effectively address a constantly evolving internal state security environment, Qatar will surely benefit from the event’s reputation as the region’s most influential trade exhibition dedicated to internal state security.

“Furthermore, locally based companies actively participating at the event will likewise benefit from short to long-term business opportunities,” he added.

He said that all the preparations, arrangements and special procedures for Milipol Qatar 2014 were in accordance with the work plans developed by the committee from 2012
to date.

Having a strong focus on products and services that effectively respond to current market trends, the exhibition will also feature optics and op-tronics equipment; consultancy, training and related services; mobility; personnel equipment and fabrics; major risks, crisis management and civil emergencies; specific transverse technologies; body inspection systems; fast-scan vehicle inspection systems; law enforcement cameras; and unmanned aerial vehicles.

“Through an important platform as Milipol Qatar, professionals from Qatar and the region will be able to access the latest solutions and technologies to face with any kind of risk. We are proud to host this event for the 10th time and our intention this year is to exceed the success of 2012 show and achieve another milestone for this event,” he added.

The Ministry of Interior took advantage of Qatar’s geographical location in the Middle East, which is strategically considered as a common platform to many countries in the region.

“It is also among our objectives to highlight the organisational capabilities of the country which has previously succeeded in organising and hosting a number of international conferences and exhibitions, as well as showcasing the latest security technologies to attract many delegations from different countries,” he
concluded.

Since its creation in 1996, Milipol Qatar has been organised by the Qatar’s Ministry of Interior and Comexposium
