Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has finalised the refurbishment of its second Al Barka Branch in Oman’s district of Al Bera transforming it from a supermarket to a hypermarket. The renovation of the second branch comes as part of Al Meera Oman and Al Meera Company’s strategic plan to strengthen its presence in the Qatari and regional markets, and grab all expansion opportunities for the development of its assets and shareholders’ equity. The 6,000 sq m Al Barka Mall, which recently opened in September, includes new shops and a 4,000sqm hypermarket. The mall offers many fashion brands such as Estilo Clothing Brand, X-Pressions Perfumes and Accessories, and Shoe 4 Us. The hypermarket consists of several sections like an in-house bakery that specialises in a variety of Arabic breads and sweets, butchery, wet market, and a wide range of assortment sourced from the local market.
