India-based Jet Airways is doubling its daily frequency between Doha and Mumbai and expanding with new services to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The second frequency to Mumbai will start operations from November 5 and new services to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram from December 1, said Anil Srinivasan, Jet Airways general manager (Qatar).
The second flight to Doha (9W 560) will depart Mumbai at 1.20am daily and reach the Qatari capital at 2.45am (all times local). The return flight (9W 559) will depart Doha at 3.45am and reach Mumbai at 9.30am.
The new Jet service (9W 595) to Kozhikode will depart Doha at 11.20am and reach Karippur at 5.50pm. Flight from Kozhikode (9W 596) will leave Karippur Airport at 6.50pm and reach Doha at 8.50pm.
Jet Airways flight (9W 593) to Thiruvananthapuram will depart Doha at 9.50pm and reach the Kerala capital at 4.45am. Flight (9W 594) will depart Thiruvananthapuram at 7.45am and arrive here at 10.05am.
These daily flights are in addition to Jet Airways’ existing flights to Mumbai, Kochi and Delhi.
The airline will use a Boeing 737 – 800 / 900 in all the routes with some 12 seats in business and 156 in economy.
