The Qatar Police Sports Federation organised a ceremony to honour the Police Federation team that won second place at the fourth Qatar Olympics Committee Futsal Championship.
The championship was held as part of the ‘Qatar Nasheeta’ campaign between August 27 and September 3, in which 14 teams participated.
Qatar Petroleum team came first, while the United team came in third in the event.
The ceremony was attended by QPSF vice chairman Col Adel Ahmed Malallah, Teams and Competitions Department Head Ft Lt Walid Ali al-Jassim, Ft Lt Fahad Ali Zaifallah and the Public Guards Department team coach and manager Lt Fahad Ali Rashid.
Col Adel praised the team on behalf of QPSF chairman Brig Khalid bin Hamad al-Atiyya and said that their success was the result of teamwork.
Separately, Ft Lt Walid Ali al-Jassim said that the QPSF would organise the third swimming championship on September 27 at the Al Arabi Sports Club. More than 100 swimmers are expected to participate in the championship from different departments of MoI and Lekhwiya.
