Prae Legal’s second annual conference, which was attended by Minister of Justice HE Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi and a number of high-profile legal and business figures, concluded on Monday.
Hosted by the Khalid al-Attiyah Consultant & Attorney Firm (KACAF), the annual conference was held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
The conference hosted more than 150 prominent lawyers and legal specialists from the Prae Legal global network.
It focused on the ongoing international legal challenges and opportunities for international trade co-operation. Prae Legal highlighted the role played by international legal networks in knowledge sharing for the advancement of the global economy.
Ahmed Saeed al-Hassan, general manager KACAF, and director of the event’s organising committee, hoped that the conference brought a multitude of benefits to all participants and allowed participants to deepen international legal ties to the advantage of the international legal and financial community.
Khalid bin Khalifa al-Attiyah, founder KACAF, said: “In recent years, the State of Qatar has taken great strides to strengthen and engage in global trade and investment by enacting progressive legislation and creating a climate conducive to sound and efficient business and trade.
“There is no doubt that international forums such as the Prae Legal International meeting, play a tremendous role in stimulating and activating mutual understanding and knowledge sharing to the benefit of international and local systems,” he added.
Fahri Toga, general manager Prae Legal, also received a commemorative gift from KACAF for his efforts in advancing international legal services.
The conference exhibited a lecture and presentation series focusing on challenges facing international legal firms, and the role played by legal networks in facilitating global trade and investment.
Presentations by Prae Legal member firms also emphasised the contributions of international legal networks in developing sound legal infrastructure for emerging markets across the Middle East and Asia.
KACAF also invited attendees to an honouring dinner at the Diplomatic club.
