Heavy vehicles, including dumper trucks, continue to be parked in residential areas and on the sides of streets within city limits despite the government order banning any such practice. The ban, which came into effect on January 30 and was the Traffic Department’s latest initiative to ease congestion on the city’s packed streets, is widely flouted by truck drivers, it has been found.
