Akbar al-Baker shows off the cheque for the winner of the millionaire draw.
Qatar Duty Free, a subsidiary of Qatar Airways, has announced the winners of its 16th Millionaire Draw, 129th Car Draw and 8th Bike Draw.
The second millionaire draw of 2014, conducted at Hamad International Airport, saw Don Thomas Chowalloor, an Indian national, become the lucky winner of the coveted $1mn cash prize.
Don Thomas Chowalloor commented: “This is an unbelievable moment in my life, I will certainly use some of the money to help some under-privileged people for charity. Thank you Qatar Duty Free for this amazing opportunity.”
The draws were conducted inside the Qatar Duty Free area at Hamad International Airport, and were presided over by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Akbar al-Baker.
The winner of the 129th car draw was Sara Obaid Alkaabi from Kuwait who won a Bentley – Continental Flying Spur – Special Qatar Edition. Croatian national, Teo Maljkovic, was the lucky winner of the 8th bike draw – his prize was a Ducati.

The winning millionaire ticket number was: 3297.
The Millionaire Dollar raffle was launched in May 2006, giving passengers a great opportunity to win as each draw is made after 5,000 tickets are sold.
Departing and transiting passengers at the Doha airport are able to purchase the Millionaire raffle tickets for QR950 each, and luxury car draw tickets can also be purchased from Qatar Duty Free. In addition, tickets can be bought online from Qatar Duty Free’s website at www.qatardutyfree.com.qa
