The Qatar Stock Exchange index gained 48.67 points (+0.39%) to close at 12,382.21 points yesterday.

The total value reached QR261,757,200.05, with a trading volume of 6,520,762 shares from 4,093 transactions.

From the 43 listed companies, 28 made gains yesterday, 13 were down and one remained unchanged.

Qatari individual investors bought a volume of 3,438,366 shares of 40 companies for a traded value of QR 111,060,726.66 or 42.43%.

Qatari institutional investors bought a volume of 791,743 shares of 30 companies  for a traded value of QR 33,648,614.57 or 12.85%.

Qatari individual investors sold a volume of 4,153,673 shares of 42 companies for a traded value of QR 132,158,489.27 or 50.49%.

Qatari institutional investors sold a volume of 547,012 shares of 21 companies for a traded value or QR 42,708,855 or 16.32%.

Banks and financial services traded a volume of 1,539,004 shares for a value of QR 95,215,242.34 from 1,167 transactions yesterday.

Qatar Islamic Bank gained QR 1 (+1.08%) to close at QR 93.30.

Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ), (-0.10, QR65.30) and Doha Bank (-0.35%, QR 56.80) went marginally down yesterday. Al Ahli Bank remained unchanged from Sunday’s closing since no shares were traded.  

Industries traded a volume of 918,409 shares for a value of QR 62,404,166.98 from 1,268 transactions.

Salam International made fair gains today, up +5.49% to close at QR 17.50 from Sunday’s closing of QR 16.59.

Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company too made gains, up (+5.05%) to QR 54 from the previous closing of QR 49.50.

Qatar Fuel too was up (+1.44%) to QR 212 from the previous closing of QR 209.

National Cement Company dropped (-3.10%) to close at QR134.50 from the previous closing of QR 138.80.
