Al Ahli Hospital held a big celebration last week to mark the World Day of Nursing at Al Sharq Hotel and Resort.
The event was held to honour the nursing team of the hospital, by highlighting their achievements and their essential role in providing excellent care for the patients.
Outstanding nurses were honoured on the occasion for their excellent performance during this year.
It was also an occasion to encourage and motivate everyone to put in maximum efforts for the convenience of the guests.
Dr Abdel Azim Hussein, medical director and chief surgeon, Al Ahli Hospital praised the important role of nurses.
He stressed, “Nursing is one of the most important pillars of the health sector. The care and dedication by the nursing staff provides comfort for the patients.” Claudine al-Aryabi, acting director of nursing at the hospital, praised the role of the nursing staff during the event.
World Day of Nursing is marked in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is the founder of modern nursing.
