MoI has organised a workshop to introduce its e-services.

The newly introduced e-licensing system of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) is expected to ease licensing procedures for security companies. It can be accessed through the Ministry’s e-services window online.

Ft Lt Ali Abdullah al-Suwaidi, head of MoI’s Security Systems Department (SSD) licensing section, said the e-services will also ensure transparency at every step without the need to visit the department.

“The users can even make changes in their transactions within the stipulated time frame,” he said during a workshop held yesterday at the Civil Defence in Wadi Sail. The workshop was conducted to introduce the new transaction methods and e-services on the MoI website.

Al-Suwaidi noted that individuals, PROs or authorised persons, who have registered in Metrash2 can use these services if they have a smart ID card.

“The users should add e-services to their smart card and get a card reader to access the services,” he said.

Company registration, engineer technical approval, drawing approval design phase, customs approval and product approval are some of the services available on the website. He stressed that they want to implement a paperless system of transactions, urging concerned companies to use the new services.
