The Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) will host a career day on June 17 at 8am at Al Huda Tower in West Bay in association with the Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs.
The career day will be part of a series events organised by the ministry in association with Qatar’s leading companies.
“QIB’s objective is very clear, we are focusing our efforts on attracting and developing Qatari talents,” Khalefa al-Mesalam, Acting General Manager, Human Capital Group, said.
“As part of QIB’s strong support for Qatar Vision 2030, we are working to increase Qatarisation within the bank, hiring as many capable and talented local nationals as we can. We believe that QIB is one of the best choices for individuals that would like to build a career in financial services in Qatar and by holding such career days, everyone gets the chance to find out all about this fascinating career option,” he said.
Last year, QIB achieved 29% Qatarisation as of year-end and the bank is expected to increase the Qatarisation percentage by this year end.
QIB has also sponsored 28 Qatari students, who will become part of the Bank’s workforce upon successful completion of their education.
