Ahli also managed to secure the services of local Al Wakrah defender Abdul al-Qadi, this is the brigadiers third signings after Mohammed El Hadj and Abdulaziz al-Yahari from Umm Salal. Milan Máčala, the head coach of Al Ahli, advised the club to buy more local players to bolster the squad as they look to do even better than their sixth placed finish last season.

Carlos Queiroz, the Iranian national team coach, has chosen the 24 players who will fly out to Brazil for the World Cup which will start on Thursday 12th of June to Sunday 13th of July.
Queiroz added to his list the defender Bizman Muntazari who plies his trade in the Qatar Stars League (QSL). The defender arrived last season and although Umm Salal struggled at the start, in the second half of the season they went on a run that saw them move from the relegation zone to 7th position in the QSL.
There are now three players heading to the World Cup from the QSL. They are Mark Bresciano for the Socceroos, Majid Boughera for Algeria and Bizman Muntazari.
Iran will be participating in the World Cup for the fourth time after playing in 1978, 1998, and 2006 in Germany.
Iran will be in Group F with Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia Herzegovina.
Moroccan Playmaker Mitwali On His Way To Al Wakrah
After renewing the contracts of Ali Hussein Rehema and last season’s second top scorer Jorge Sebastián Sáez, Al Wakrah is close to completing their third and final signing of foreign players.
As of next year all clubs in the Qatar Stars League will only be able to sign three foreign players with the new quota rule coming into effect.
Now Al Wakrah is on the verge of signing Moroccan playmaker Hassan Mohsin Mitwali who will be arriving from 11 time national Moroccan champions Al Raja Casablanca. The player will have to undergo a medical first before putting pen to paper.

The management of Qatar Sports Club prepared a leaving ceremony for former head coach Lazaroni yesterday, who will depart from the club after 5 years of memorable service. The ceremony was filled with players; club official and the President of the Club Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Nasser al-Thani.
The club wanted to show their appreciation to the charismatic Brazilian and thank him for his contribution throughout the years at the club.
For his part Lazaroni thanked the club board for the good send off, stressing that he would always remember his time with the club fondly and wished them well.
With regard to the future of the club the new coach will be arriving soon to take over the reins. Ivan Hašek the Czech coach will be the new man as of next season and will be hoping to get the club back to the top four at the very least.
The Czech has already worked in the Gulf region with Emirati side Al Ahli Dubai and tasted success by winning the national title. In January 2012, Hašek took over the head coach job at Riyadh based side Al-Hilal FC, replacing Thomas Doll.
