The centre is focused on improving plans on managing risks related to information security and to propose regulatory policies on security measures, in addition to preparing reports related to information security and co-ordinating with concerned bodies.
He added that the MoI has been developing future plans to address and prevent increasing electronic threats to the financial sector.
It has been done through the enactment of laws and regulations, concluding security agreements with concerned bodies in and out of the country, and developing skills and experience for the cadres working in financial crime prevention sectors through strategic awareness programmes.
He urged the students not to reply to anonymous and insecure emails, which come to bank customers from mails that lead to fake websites of those banks.
He emphasised that as Qatar has already established the information security centre, it would go ahead to develop project plans to build up the best ways to reduce electronic threats and attacks, for the sake of security of individuals, society, establishments and the country.
