Following directives of the HH Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar has sent a second consignment of aid for Balkan victims.
A cargo plane for Serbia carried 32 tonnes of foodstuff, medical supplies, tents and blankets, sent by the search and rescue team of Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), bringing the total of Qatar's total aid to 121 tonnes.
Qatar has allocated over the past few days an airlift of food and other aid supplies to the flood-stricken Balkan countries, which have faced the worst flooding in decades, with thousands displaced, dozens dead and wounded, and the destruction of infrastructure.
