Small and Medium Enterprises Development Company ‘Enterprise Qatar’ (EQ) has appointed Omran Hamad al-Kuwari as its new chief executive officer.

Established in 2011 under the leadership of HH the Emir, EQ provides education, guidance, coaching, research, and access to financial facilities to help entrepreneurs and SMEs achieve their goals, thereby removing all obstacles and challenges.

Al-Kuwari stated that EQ has already witnessed many great successes, and is well-respected amongst entrepreneurs and SMEs.

“I hope to strengthen the exceptional support and guidance that EQ currently provides so that many more will use these valuable services.”

The seasoned energy professional and entrepreneur, al-Kuwari, will now help the organisation grow by continuing to provide these excellent services whilst also helping the company branch out into other areas.

Al-Kuwari’s education has taken him to City University London, The George Washington University School of Business and Lycee Rochambeau in Washington DC amongst other institutions. 

He co-founded GreenGulf Inc in 2009 and has held senior positions at energy giants Qatar Petroluem, Qatargas and ExxonMobil.
