More names are expected to be dragged into the pork barrel scam by Janet Lim-Napoles when she submits a more detailed account of her operations and a complete list of people involved in the racket.
Napoles’ lawyer Bruce Rivera said his client is set to submit the detailed list of those who are involved in the pork scam to the Department of Justice (DOJ) this week.
He said they are still completing the list.
“We are finishing it up and perhaps (we will submit the list on) Wednesday or Thursday next week,” Rivera said in a radio interview over the weekend.
He explained that the second list being prepared by his client contains more names of people allegedly involved in the misuse of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel of lawmakers.
“In fact, the second is a longer affidavit, there are additional names,” Rivera said.
The first affidavit submitted by Napoles, according to him, was just a general statement.
When she re-checked her records, the businesswoman found that she had transactions with other lawmakers, the lawyer said.
He noted that Napoles hid her records “in a safe place.”
The first list the businesswoman gave to Justice Secretary Leila de Lima is incomplete because Napoles could not reconstruct all the transactions that transpired since she does not have the records at the Ospital ng Makati, where she had surgery.
With these records, the lawyer said, Napoles will be able to substantiate her second affidavit since it will be supported with evidence.
De Lima submitted Napoles’ list to the Senate blue ribbon committee after it was subpoenaed by its chairman, Sen. Teofisto Guingona.
The list bares names of 10 incumbent senators as well as former Sen. Manuel Villar and the late Sen. Robert Barbers.
Included in the list are Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr, Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada, Juan Ponce Enrile, Vicente Sotto, Loren Legarda, Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, Alan Peter Cayetano and Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
Former San Juan representative Juan Victor ‘JV’ Ejercito, now a senator, was also on the signed list.
Yesterday, GMA television network said it will not take sitting down allegations that one of its talents, Mike Enriquez, was included in the list of personalities who also received gifts from Napoles.
Enriquez has denied receiving anything from JLN Inc, a company owned by Napoles.
