Technical service provider Materna newmedia is providing Vodafone Qatar’s Red postpaid customers personalised video bills in English and Arabic.
“Vodafone Qatar prides itself in providing superior customer care and video billing is a very important addition to our range of services,” said Deirdre Hutchinson, head of customer care.
Gerion Wolff, senior vice president, marketing and newmedia at Materna, explained that his company had successfully provided the same service earlier to Vodafone Germany.
Along with the first bill, Vodafone Qatar customers receive an e-mail or an SMS with a link to their individual video. The link can be accessed from a PC, a tablet or a smartphone.
In the video, the customer is personally greeted by his/her first name verbally and in text form. All individual bill items are explained step by step. Critical issues such as the pro-rata billing period or any base rate elements which are due in advance are highlighted. Links to more detailed self-service channels or customer queries can also be integrated.
Personalised videos have a range of uses - to welcome new customers, explain products, showcase special benefits, for marketing campaigns or to communicate a wide range of complex information in an easy and innovative way.
“The combination of visual content, spoken language and personalised information creates high attention levels, trust and acceptance among customers,” a statement from Vodafone Qatar added.
