Intertec Group, the authorised distributor of Samsung in Qatar, launched the new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone in the country yesterday. The launch event at midnight, a first for Qatar, was a result of “extraordinary market response and large number of pre-booking.” Customers started gathering outside Intertec-Samsung Al Nasr branch from 10pm on Thursday. George Thomas, Intertec Group CFO and adviser to the chairman, unpacked the Samsung S5 in front of a big crowd.
