Ooredoo has announced that a new QR Scanner feature will be available on the Ooredoo Mobile App, aimed at significantly improving the user experience and continuing with the company’s portfolio updates as part of the #OoredooSmart campaign. |
Hala customers who use the Ooredoo Mobile App can now top up easily and quickly by scanning the new QR code on their Hala top-up cards.
The new feature, which will also involve a revamp of Ooredoo’s Hala top-up cards, will allow users to save time and the possibility of input errors, as the QR tool will automatically send the required SMS content for recharge by scanning the square QR code on the back of the card.
Hala top-up cards has seen “unprecedented demand” since the launch of the #OoredooSmart campaign, with more customers purchasing extra mobile credit to use in conjunction with the 4G network, Ooredoo has said in a statement.
The new Hala top-up cards, which will be available at Ooredoo shops and authorised dealers, will include the new QR code on the back of the vouchers and are available in QR30, QR50, QR100 and QR200 denominations.
The Ooredoo Mobile App allows users to manage key Ooredoo services directly from their smartphones, including upgrading Shahry Smart bundles, paying bills, subscribing to the Ooredoo Passport and more.
The QR Scanner tool is the latest update to the Ooredoo Mobile App and will work with iOS and Android devices as part of the company’s portfolio updates for the #OoredooSmart campaign. Ooredoo aims to add several new smart features to the user’s app toolbox in the near future.
The mobile app is available for free download for customers who have iOS, Android or BlackBerry smartphones.
